Jes Muse, born and raised in New York, is a third generation artist, now residing in San Francisco, California. 

It was in the fifth grade while on a class trip that Jes got the first taste of blacksmithing but it wasn't until the age of 30 that Jes got to take a class in blacksmithing at The Crucible in West Oakland, California. Prior to the blacksmithing class, Jes had been taking metal sculpture classes at The Crucible renewing a love of working with metal that was developed while in college at SUNY Purchase as a "VA" major (visual arts). 

Jes also works in paint, photo, vinyl, resin, wood and essentially any medium that is readily accessible.
